Founding Partners Jim Thorson and Gil Switala have dedicated their entire legal careers fighting for those seriously injured because of the reckless and negligent mistakes of others. In 1990, Jim and Gil began their legal careers at the newly-formed Dayton, Ohio personal injury firm of Dyer Garofalo & Mann, a high-volume, personal injury law firm. Both were on the frontlines fighting for thousands of clients involving a wide variety of claims and injuries. In 1999, they started their own firm, Thorson & Switala, to give the people of Dayton and the Miami Valley an alternative to the attorneys they saw on television. With a vision to provide zealous representation while maintaining a close, personal relationship with their clients, the firm’s ethos was born: Big Enough to Win, Small Enough to Care.
In 2002, the firm welcomed Centerville native Jeff Snead as a Partner to lead its medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases. He brings experience as a former defense attorney for hospitals and doctors across Ohio. Joe Mondock joined the firm out of law school, and in 2008 became Partner of the newly named firm - Thorson Switala Mondock & Snead LLP. In 2012, the firm relocated from downtown Dayton to their new convenient office on State Route 741 between the Dayton Mall and Austin Landing.
Walk-In Wednesday
In an effort to support the community that has looked to us for legal advice all these years, we began Walk-In Wednesday – a first of its kind – free, 30-minute, no-obligation, walk-in legal consultation with an attorney. Walk-In Wednesday is offered every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at our Miamisburg office. No appointment is necessary. Walk in with a question, walk out with an answer.
